Washable Pet Sofa Cover

About the Washable Pet Sofa Cover

The rule was 'no dogs on the sofa'. The rule lost. The Kindred Tails Washable Pet Sofa Cover is the peace treaty: a generously draped, quilted cover that takes the muddy paws, shedding coats and occasional accidents, while your actual upholstery stays clean underneath.

When it needs it — and with pets, it will — the whole cover goes in the wash and comes back fresh. Anti-slip backing and tuck-in anchors keep it from ending up in a heap after the first enthusiastic launch onto the cushions, and the muted palette means it reads as a throw, not as damage control.

Materials & Care

Quilted woven polyester with a water-resistant finish and anti-slip backing. Final fabric specifications will be confirmed with our supplier and published here before shipping — this listing is part of our launch preview catalogue.

Shake off hair outdoors, then machine wash cold on gentle and air dry or tumble low. Wash before first use to soften the finish and remove loose fibers. For mud, let it dry first — dry mud brushes off far more easily than wet.

Use & Safety

Drape the cover over the seat, back and arms, smooth it down, push the anchors deep into the cushion creases and arrange the overhang evenly. Measure your sofa's seat width and choose the size that meets or exceeds it — a slightly generous drape stays put better than a taut, undersized one. The water-resistant finish handles damp paws and small spills; for full accidents, remove and wash promptly to protect the upholstery beneath.

Good to Know

Train the humans first: the cover works when it goes back on after washing, promptly, every time — the one weekend it spends folded on a chair is the weekend the dog chooses the sofa for a mud emergency. Buy your routine some slack by washing on the day you change bed linen, anchoring the habit to an existing one. Between washes, a damp rubber glove drawn across the fabric lifts hair faster than any gadget. For pale furniture under a dark-coated dog, choose the darker cover colors — not because the light ones stain, but because daily shedding shows less and the cover can work longer between washes.

Sofa Cover — Questions

Is it waterproof enough for accidents?

The finish is water-resistant: it buys you time on damp paws, drool and small spills, and the quilting slows soak-through. It is not a sealed waterproof membrane, so for a full accident, strip and wash it promptly — that is what it is designed for.

Will it stay in place with a big dog?

The anti-slip backing and tuck anchors do most of the work, and a generous drape helps. Very determined sofa-launchers may still ruck it up — a quick smooth-down after zoomies is the realistic deal every cover owner makes.

How do I choose between Loveseat and Sofa size?

Measure the full seating width of your furniture including arms if you want arm coverage. Choose the size that meets or slightly exceeds your measurement — exact dimensions will be published here once supplier-confirmed.
